2003 Wild Horse Peak Merlot

This wine has aged gracefully and now shows the elegance and finesse that we have all anticipated upon its release. The tannins are melting into the dark, velvety finish and the intensity of fruit and oak are harmonious in the glass. This wine will continue to demonstrate several more years of aging potential, with its rich and beautiful varietal character, delicate nuances of berries, spice and earthy botanicals.

2004 Devils Hole Block Cabernet Sauvignon

This block of Cabernet Sauvignon is located at the southern most edge of the property, along the old Crosley Trail, in the area that drains towards Arroyo Seco Creek. This block receives more sunlight than the other blocks and the wine is very ripe and big. Certainly a signature Cabernet Sauvignon.

2004 Dry Rock Gulch Cabernet Sauvignon

This block is in an exceptional location within the Wild Horse Peak Mountain Vineyards, located at the base of Wild Horse Peak in a gulch that is very rocky and is typically shaded in the latter part of the day. The vines struggle to ripen the meager crop they set each year. The intensity and depth of character from this block is one of our best. If only all Cabernet could taste this good! 382 cases produced.

2004 WHP Thunderbolt Cabernet

This Cabernet block is located in the flat of the saddle that makes up Wild Horse Peak Mountain Vineyards. The soils are bit more clay and gravel with significant igneous influences. The varietal character is a light berry-cassis with a delicate herbal note and smooth round tannins. Very smooth and very varietal. 365 cases produced
