2015 WHP Zinfandel * Library*

This is definitely one of our best vintages of Zinfandel, and now that it has been cellared for several years, its potential is easily recognized: it is showing beautifully!  Certainly a  classic California Zinfandel, but more importantly, our Oaks Block Zinfandel continues to show remarkably. Rich berry fruit and spicy, peppery notes are backed up with delicate caramel and brown sugar notes. Aging in  American oak added an elegant backbone of oak to the tannin structure, and the subtle wood tones are very appealing, melding with the fruit to give a warm, lush complexity. The mouth-feel and the balance of this Zinfandel has become seamless and harmonious. Cheers!
