Harvested from Huis Vineyards on August 25, 2016
Roussanne is typically relegated to white Rhone-style blends in order to give that extra dimension, or “boost” of flavor. As a variety, it is celebrated for its unique candy lemon drop flavors and delicate, herbaceous, tea-like aromas, coupled with a long, rich finish, it is easy to see why Roussanne is such a beloved wine. It is without a doubt a wine that deserves more attention. One of the few grapes that we do not grow, we continue our longstanding relationship with Huis Vineyards and work closely with them to ensure top quality fruit. Fermented exclusively in stainless steel, the fruit character is dominate, and is accentuated with lemony ginger nuances. Our South Coast Roussanne has finesse and a great potential for aging; its aromas leap from the glass and the flavors linger on the palate. So let us introduce you to a wine of distinction, a wine that truly should be in the limelight. Enjoy this wine with seafood, poultry, and light salads or on its own.
