Grenache Blanc is a white variation of the red Grenache Noir cultivar. It is primarily grown in north eastern Spain and southern France, and it makes lush, soft white wines with moderate to full body; often, wines made from Grenache Blanc are blended with other varieties such as Roussanne and Viognier to add further dimension and character to the wine. We did not need the addition of other varieties however, to enrich this wine. Our 2019 Grenache Blanc has a light jasmine flower and pear aroma that combines with delicate tropical, lemon-citrus flavors that dominate the palate. Fermented all in stainless steel so as to capture the fruit characters, this Grenache Blanc is a wonderfully unique and different wine, offering a great alternative to Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. A clean, crisp finish is the hallmark of a sturdy acidity which gives this wine a very charming drinkability. This wine is perfect for warm weather sipping and pairing with seafood and salads.
