Pinot Blanc is a delightfully restrained mutation of Pinot Noir, and in many respects,while similar to Chardonnay, it is unlike anything else. The small South Coast estate acreage here in Temecula is the only current planting in our Temecula Valley appellation, and this release marks the first varietal release of Temecula Pinot Blanc in over 30 years. Primarily used for cuvèe production, Pinot Blanc is also a wonderful white wine when aged on the yeast lees for several months or oak barrel aged. We fermented the Pinot Blanc juice in small stainless barrels and aged the wine on the primary yeast lees for 8 months. This wine has a rich and lush mouthfeel with hints of brioche, pineapple and citrus. A bright acidity makes for a crisp, quaffable wine that is perfect for our Southern California summers, or any time that calls for a white wine. Cheers!
